Site Finished Floors
Do you want the look and feel of site finished floors?
Learn more about the process
3 step process for site finished floors:
- Installation
- Sanding
- Finish
Site finished floors offer a look and feel second to none. If you want the quality of a wood floor in your home, but don't want the cleaning headaches of micro-beveled edges and dust laying throughout your home, then a site finished floor may be right for you.?
Prefinished floors - The wood is stained and finished in a factory, ready for installation when it gets to your home. Prefinished floors also have what's called a micro-bevel, a small gap along the edge of every board. Since these floors are not sanded after being installed, this is the only way to make up for slight height differences throughout your floor.
?
Drawbacks to Prefinished hardwood flooring:
- Cleaning. Dust congregates in beveled edge and micro-beveled edge hardwood floors.
- Damage. When moving furniture, kids toys, or pushing chairs in and out, every time you hear the "click-clack" of the item hitting the edges, there is wear on the product.
